LandLAB

A new brand system for an ecologically driven landscape architecture practice.

LandLAB is an award-winning landscape architecture practice located in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) and Naarm (Melbourne). Their work explores the inter-woven ecologies of land, water and people through the lenses of urbanism, landscape and place.

After 10 years in business and expansion to Melbourne, LandLAB sought a brand update and new website to enhance their identity and presence. Drawing inspiration from the interconnected network of ecological systems, we developed a dynamic graphic language of interconnected circles and ratios that could be scaled and adapted to various contexts.

The logotype’s parabolic, intertwined form was designed to reflect the interwoven ethos of LandLAB’s work, supplementing the interconnected graphic language of the circles. We also introduced a bold use of colour to distinguish the two sides of their business: ‘Land’ and ‘LAB.’ Case studies, representing 'Land,' are showcased in full colour and in an ownable and distinct green palette, whilst studio processes, representing 'LAB,' are presented in a monochromatic palette.
